This kettle is one of the most recognizable masterworks of mid-century Scandinavian modernism. It was manufactured by the ironworks company Cathrineholm, Norway. The elegant, clean kettle form was engineered by pioneering metalwork designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen, while the contrasting "Lotus" leaf graphic overlay was designed by artist Arne Clausen.
