The Crown Lynn Black Swan is one of the rarest, most prized holy grails of New Zealand ceramic collecting. While the iconic slip-cast swan vase was a common sight on Kiwi mantelpieces in standard matte white from the 1940s through the 1970s, only a very limited number were ever produced in a glossy or matte black glaze finish.
