ABOUT ME
Mandy Williams is a New Zealand artist based in the seaside town of Mount Maunganui. For over 20 years, she has poured her creative energy into art, drawing inspiration from both her love for painting and her background working with children. Mandy is known for her commissioned pieces created for families, as well as her original artworks that reflect an ongoing exploration of new techniques and materials.
Her most recent series is inspired by the vibrant style of the 1960s and 70s, echoing the spirit of Palm Springs, Slim Aarons, and David Hockney. These works are brought to life with bold, refreshing colours, graceful figures, and soft, refined finishes that add a sense of calm and beauty.
Mandy works in both acrylic and oil, choosing each medium for its unique qualities—embracing the fluid spontaneity of acrylics and the soft blending of oils. Her passion is evident in every collection, with each piece offering a glimpse into her evolving creative journey.
Her upcoming body of work marks a shift—moving away from delicate detail and toward a more playful, expressive style. Titled Play, this new series celebrates joy, connection, and the pleasure of beautiful interiors, tying together Mandy’s love of design and her distinctive artistic voice.
